The Falcon Inn is located in the heart of the Cotswolds in the picturesque village of Painswick which is famous for its unspoilt beauty. Offering comfortable 3 star rated bed & breakfast accommodation based in a charming 16th century building on New Street, The Falcon Inn is also surrounded by a number of other beautiful and historic buildings. The inn has a rich and varied history, originally built in 1554 and being previously used as courthouse, as the home of the world's oldest bowling green, and a licensed house in the 17th century.

Accommodation

The Falcon Inn provides 12 en-suite bedrooms including single, double and family room types, all comfortable and full of historic charm. Two bedrooms also feature four poster beds for that extra special occasion such as a romantic stay. Bedrooms are equipped with excellent facilities including a TV, free Wi-Fi access, telephone and tea/coffee making facilities.

Restaurant

The restaurant at The Falcon Inn is open every day and provides guests with a varied evening menu, along with specials, snacks and lighter meals at lunchtime. There is a traditional, cosy bar area, as well as a more lively bar with a TV, pool and darts.

The Falcon Inn also has a function room in the converted stables, ideal for functions including weddings, birthdays and other events. There is free Wi-Fi for guests to enjoy and dogs are also welcome.

Painswick is a village in Gloucestershire known as the 'Queen of the Cotswolds' and is a 20-minute drive from Cheltenham, Gloucester is just a short drive away and there are also a number of other beautiful Cotswolds villages within easy reach.

Painswick offers picturesque views of the Gloucestershire hills and valleys, and due to its location on the Cotswolds Way the area is ideal for walkers and The Falcon Inn the perfect base.

Founded in 1891, Painswick Golf Club is a unique ridge top course which offers a unique challenge for all levels of golfers. With tight lies and interesting terrain this short course requires thought and a wide variety of shots. No bunkers but some grass filled quarries and wonderful views make this course a treat not to be missed.
